Who is NJS?

We're a small security company in Palmyra, New Jersey. We sell, install and service burglar alarms, fire alarms, camera systems and access control for homes and businesses across South Jersey, Pennsylvania and Delaware.

That's the whole description. We're not a national brand and we're not trying to be one.

What that actually means for you

The people who design your system install it. We're a small shop with a handful of contractors we've worked with for years. The person who walks your building is the person who's there on install day and the person who picks up when something needs attention later. Nothing gets handed off to a stranger.

We work on the equipment that's worth working on. Alarm.com for alarms, access control and smart home automation. OpenEye for cloud-managed video, including systems built around cameras you already own. Uniview / Unifi for CCTV Video. Honeywell, NAPCO, Bosch hardware where it belongs. Sonos architectural audio for sound systems. We'll tell you what we'd put in our own building and what we wouldn't bother with.

Experience

30 years of combined experience between us, most of it in commercial/residential CCTV and alarm work. Before NJS, that meant building and running operations at national companies — product lines, technical support teams, sales teams, warehouse and service operations. Now it means doing the work directly instead of managing someone else doing it. Don’t buy from a company that leaves you to do the work yourself. Trust in NJS.

Fire alarm is a separately licensed trade in New Jersey, and plenty of companies that install cameras aren't licensed to touch it. We are.
