Securing Turbo Solutions with a Full Hardwired Alarm & CCTV System
NJ Surveillance recently partnered with Turbo Solutions, a leading remanufacturer of turbochargers and diesel components, to install a fully integrated hardwired security system at their New Jersey facility. With valuable inventory and a busy operations floor, security was a top priority. We designed and deployed a comprehensive CCTV and alarm system to meet their needs all while ensuring long-term reliability, coverage, and remote access for peace of mind.
We professionally installed 16 hardwired IP cameras throughout the facility. These 16 cameras were designed to eliminate blind spots and provide round-the-clock visibility wired directly to a secure NVR system for high quality video recording and storage. Each one of the cameras comes equipped with the latest AI features that detect when humans or vehicles are present. We programmed the cameras to turn the lights on in the facility when it detects humans after hours. This not only acts as a deterrence but more importantly it switches the cameras view to color instead of black and white in complete darkness. You can accurately give a description of an intruder with these amazing features.
We ran roughly 7000ft worth of cabling throughout the facility. Cat6e and 22/4 alarm cabling.
The cameras are a great insurance policy to have however another layer of security was required in this case. Turbo Solutions requested a hard wired Honeywell Resideo system to be deployed. This hard wired Honeywell system covered every entry door (man doors and overhead doors) with specialty door contacts. We also strategically placed Bosch Commercial grade motion detectors throughout the entire facility. These motions placed in key zones provide yet another layer of security in the event someone is where they shouldn’t be. We connected all of this back to cellular backbone with full battery backup to contact the police in the event of a break in. Any unwanted events get sent directly to our Central Station who directs all calls to the local police.

The coolest part? You can control it all from your cell phone thanks to Alarm.com and their SEM devices. Alarm.com allows full system access via mobile devices. Turbo Solutions’ team can now view live camera feeds, arm/disarm the alarm, and receive alerts — all from their phones. Remote control functionality provides security on the go, whether onsite or offsite.
We used a Honewell 6160RF keypad to add a few wireless zones in. These are great pieces of equipment. Easy to use and easily scalable.
