Luminys Introduction
We're Now Carrying Luminys Cameras and Recorders
Dahua is done in the United States. There's a lot of Dahua equipment still hanging on walls out here and most of it works fine. We've brought on the Luminys line to keep those systems alive, and to give our customers a path to NDAA compliant equipment without learning a whole new platform. Cameras and recorders, both available now.
What actually happened
Short version, because the details matter to some of you and not at all to others.
Dahua sold its North American business to Luminys Systems Corporation back in January 2024. Dahua USA was dissolved on December 31, 2025, and Dahua-branded products stopped being sold here. In January 2026 the FCC confirmed Luminys is not on the Covered List and reinstated their equipment authorizations.
Luminys-branded product today is manufactured through their parent company, Foxlink. It's a different company with a different supply chain, built by a lot of the same people who knew that product line inside and out.
TLDR: the brand on the box is gone. The engineering lineage isn't.

If you've got Dahua gear that still works
Don't rip it out. That's the first thing.
A camera that's been doing its job for six years doesn't stop doing its job because a corporate entity dissolved. What you lose over time is the ability to buy a matching replacement when one finally does fail, and eventually, firmware updates and support.
That's the gap we're filling. We can add Luminys cameras to what you already have, swap failed units one at a time instead of all at once, and replace a recorder without throwing away every camera attached to it. You stay in a familiar interface. Your people don't get retrained on something that looks nothing like what they've used for years.
Call us and we'll tell you honestly how much life is left in what you've got.
If you need NDAA compliant equipment — read this part carefully
This is where I want to be very clear, because getting it wrong costs people contracts.
Luminys publishes a list of NDAA compliant products — their N-series and P-series cameras, R-series recorders, switches, access control and more. If you're a school, a municipality, a federal contractor, or anybody else with Section 889 language in your contract, that list is where you shop.
Here's the part nobody tells you: compliance is a system-level thing, not a sticker on a box. A compliant recorder with non-compliant cameras on it is not a compliant system. Luminys says this themselves — their products are compliant "when used as part of a system or service composed of NDAA compliant equipment."
If you need NDAA compliance, you can't keep your old Dahua cameras and hang them off a new Luminys recorder and call it done. Dahua is specifically named in Section 889. That build is a rip and replace, and anyone telling you otherwise is either confused or hoping you are. We can tell you which situation you're actually in before you spend a dollar.
We recently deployed Luminys for a customer of ours. The goal? NDAA compliance before 2027. These N3 Bullets are the perfect camera for the job.
What we're stocking
What I love is how familiar the interface feels. LumiUtility feels right at home. A programmers dream come true.
Effective immediately, we're carrying the full Luminys line:
Network cameras: Turrets, Domes, Bullets, PTZs and Multisensors
Network video recorders, including their AI NVR platform
Access control, intercom and network switches
LumiCenter and LumiCloud for management and remote viewing
Solar and off-grid units for sites without power (Special Order)
If you want something that isn't on that list, ask. We can get most of it.
The Result: A path forward either way
✅ Keep your working Dahua equipment running instead of replacing it on somebody else's schedule.
✅ Replace failed units one at a time, in a familiar ecosystem.
✅ A documented NDAA compliant path when your contract requires one.
✅ A straight answer about which of those two you actually need.

Tell us what you've got and roughly when it went in. We'll tell you what's worth keeping, what's near the end, and whether compliance is something you need to worry about at all. Most of the time it isn't, and we'll say so.
